Metro PCS COmmercial.

The animator working on this quit the morning the clients came in from Texas to view the progress. We were bidding on a 4 commercial campaign based on how this presentation went. In a panic, the owner asked me to come up with 2 weeks of R&D to present after lunch in 4 hours. I could not use anything the previous animator did because it looked like a skullcap with limp asparagus. i made 3 extrusions as a tangled bundle for the base which i planned to use a translating texture & had about 20 snake attached using a spline IK deformer to animate them. that way i could animate just 3 cv’s each snake & they would never stretch. i rendered as a black & white ambient occlusion render using the tracked skullcap. Clients loved it & we were awarded the 4 commercials.
